Plant Conservation
Telkom University has been conducting a nursery to preserve the forest on campus since 2020. The
nursery involves sowing seeds from various tree and plant species found on campus. To monitor
these seedlings, Telkom University uses an app to track the number of seedlings that have been
sown and are ready to be planted on the campus.
Animal Conservation
Telkom University recently conducted a wildlife conservation project to maintain the balance
of nature, in addition to protecting plant conservation areas. This demonstrates Telkom
University’s commitment to the wildlife,
Wildlife Conservation / Protected
Telkom University is committed to protecting wildlife that live and breed on campus, such as
birds in trees and fields. Furthermore, to expand its animal heritage, Telkom University plans
to breed green peacocks. This demonstrates its commitment to preserving protected wildlife.
Telkom University has also imposed a ban on all academics not to hunt and fish animals in the
Telkom University area.
Conservation of Genetic Resources for Food
Telkom University develops the cultivation of various types of food, including Klanceng honey bee cultivation, maggot cultivation, hydroponic and vegetable cultivation, hydroponic rice cultivation, Oyster Mushroom Cultivation, Mina Tani
Aquaponic cultivation, fish cultivation through floating nets, as well as catfish cultivation through biofloc media, eel cultivation through biofloc media, and Food Security Laboratory, This is done to develop one of the food security especially to meet the needs of the Telkom University academic community.
